When coming to Tempe from another state without any source of transportation it may be difficult to get around Tempe and other close-by cities. An excellent way to get around is to use the light rail. It goes all through Tempe and phoenix, but can also get to the outskirts of mesa on the light rail. Tempe is a very lively city with tons of events every week. There are events like First Fridays, the Aloha Festival, and the Arizona state fair that the light rail can take you to.
